Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1

Let me just start out by saying that I love Harry Potter.  I loved buying and reading the books with my kids, and we have loved going to see the movies together.

This past weekend, the latest Harry Potter movie came out, and I have been very excited to see it.  Unfortunately, between work and school, my kids just could not fit it into their schedules to see it with me this weekend.  So, my husband took a day off from working outside in our lovely, warm fall weather, and went to the movies with me.

Both of us loved this latest edition although, admittedly, it does leave you hanging in the end for the last and final episode.  I remember when Star Wars did the same thing.

This version was probably the best one yet, cinematically.  It offered a story line that can be appreciated by both children and adults and those kids in between.  We loved the humor – my husband especially appreciated the boy / girl relationship humor between Hermione and Ron.  I guess the line about her always being mad at him reminded my husband of me.  At least that is the one that he laughed at the loudest.  Ouch.

Loved seeing this movie and can’t wait for the next one!
