High School Reunions

I’m missing my high school reunion this year.  35 years.  Wow.  Where does the time go?  I am Facebook “friends” with many of the kids I graduated from high school, and we are having fun posting our senior class pictures as our profile pics.  Here I am in 1975.  I look exactly the same today.  NOT.  But my youngest daughter does have the same squinty eyes.

What is really more fun than our senior pictures; however, are the candid shots sprinkled throughout the  yearbooks.  We attended a parochial high school, and we wore uniforms.  The girls not only had regular uniforms.  We had gym uniforms.  They were somebody’s idea of a cruel joke – smock tops embroidered with our names and bloomers.  Yes, you heard me.  Bloomers.  And we actually had to BUY them.  And then the girls’ basketball teams had to wear them as their team uniforms, too.  Lovely.

I’m sure my classmate really likes having this feature of hers immortalized forever.  And I don’t even want to think about how dangerous it was for us to be jumping on a trampoline in gym class.
