We survived another holiday season.
It was fun and eventful and tiring all at the same time.
We took Christmas cookies to our friend, Ed, who is a WWII veteran. He is great fun to talk to and has a very sharp mind even if he isn’t as strong as he used to be.
We visited with our friends, Art and Mary. They are one of the funniest couples that I have ever met.
I set the Christmas table with the holiday place settings that used to belong to my brother-in-law’s parents. They are now in heaven, and I love to think about them when I set this holiday table.
For the past few years, we have had a theme for Christmas. Everyone buys a gift related to the theme and we play Rob Your Neighbor.
Our theme this year was “British.” It is always interesting to see what creative gifts the kids come up with related to the theme. This year we had a Harry Potter Lego set, Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie, a Beatles CD, a British flag, and some other fun stuff.
By far the best gift was a British flag inspired Winter hat.
Isn’t this hilarious?
My brother took advantage of the mistletoe to kiss his new bride. He is great fun to be around.
Good and happy holiday memories are made by spending time with family and friends who you care about and who care about you.
